Guidelines

The Cannes Neurons are designed for startups developing innovative AI projects in the following areas:

 

  • - Four key sectors identified (Banking & Finance, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare)
  • - Initiatives aimed at the greater good and/or environmental protection (AI For Good Award)
 

The jury will assess applications based on five main criteria:

  • - Innovation: the project's novelty and originality
  • - Project maturity: stage of development and implementation potential
  • - Economic viability: business model and growth prospects
  • - Operational efficiency: process optimization and tangible outcomes
  • - Impact :
    • - Added value for clients/end users
    • - Contribution to the ecosystem and industry
 

To be eligible in the Startup category for the Cannes Neurons competition, a company must:

  • - Be less than 5 years old as of January 1, 2025,
  • - Report annual revenue below 2 million euros for the year 2023,
  • - Employ fewer than 80 people.
