CANNES NEURONS – WORLD AI CANNES FESTIVAL

CONTEST RULES

Objectives

The Cannes Neurons aim to determine the most innovative Artificial Intelligence projects having a positive impact on society or the planet and rethinking the standards among all the candidates.

The objective is to value the diversity of the projects realized in the field of Artificial Intelligence in order to reward and highlight the most audacious for a better world, the most original, and especially the most innovative.

The innovative nature, the positive component of the AI project as well as an application project that has reached, at least, the first stage of deployment (Minimum Viable Product*) are the three strong points of a good application.

*Minimum Viable Product: a "test" version designed very quickly and with a minimum of budget to obtain, from the target customers, a maximum of feedback to improve the product.

Awards

1. “INCLUSIVE AI” AWARD
2. “SUSTAINABLE AI” AWARD
3. “CREATIVE AI” AWARD
+ “SPECIAL JURY” AWARD

The jury will select two finalists per category among the applications competing for the Cannes Neurons, according to the criteria defined below. The six finalists will participate to the Battles organized on the podium of the WAICF congress. Each finalist will have three minutes to present their project and convince the audience. The winner will be chosen by the participants of the congress, who will vote electronically for their favorite finalist of the battles ("live voting").

This year, a new trophy "SPECIAL JURY AWARD" will also be awarded to a candidate among all the applications to reward a project serving the general interest. The winner of this category will be selected by the jury and will not have to compete in a Battle.

For each of the three categories, the winner will receive a "CANNES NEURONS" Trophy and the choice between a stand in the Startup Village or 3 VIP invitations (Full Pass Premium) for the World AI Cannes Festival 2025.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 08, 2024 during an exclusive dinner at the Palais des Festivals

The Cannes Neurons are open to all companies, whatever their structure (startup, TP, SME, large account, NGO...) that have conducted or are conducting innovative AI projects for the benefit of society and/or the planet and that necessarily meet the following criteria:
