Guidelines

The WAICF AI Startup Challenge is open to all startups at any stage of their journey, from early-stage innovators to well-established pioneers, ready to showcase their unique approach to integrating AI in their respective fields, and to provide an entertaining experience to the visitors of the WAICF. Meeting the following criteria:

  • Relevance
  • Feasibility 
  • Wow effect 
  • Entertainment
 

Application phase

December 4, 2023 - January 10, 2024 11:59pm (UTC+1)
To begin, please click on “Create an account” at the top of the platform page to register for a user account (if you have not already done so). Once you have completed your registration and verified your account, click on the blue “Participate” button to begin your application process. You must complete the submission form by providing details of your company and proposal, as well as submitting your presentation in English (as a PDF/PPT).
 
Your submission should include :
 
A PDF/PPT Presentation:
  • Highlighting the innovative nature of the AI (automated, assisted, augmented, autonomous...)  
  • Highlighting of the positive component of the AI project 
 
A video / mock-up / visual to help our Jury immerse themselves in your project.
 
Your project answers to the following criteria: Relevancy, Feasibility, Wow effect, Entertainment 

The submission deadline for applications will be on 10 January 2024, 11:59pm (UTC+1).
 

Shortlisting phase

January 2024
 
In order to evaluate the applications, a jury made up of experts in artificial intelligence will decide on the finalists in January. 4 and up to 6 applications will be selected.

The projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • Relevancy
  • Feasibility
  • Wow effect
  • Entertainment 

Showcase

February 8 - 10, 2024

Selected Start-ups are invited to World AI Cannes Festival to :
- Take benefit of their booth to captivate our audience with unique and immersive AI experiences
- Take benefit of a 15 minutes session to present their project on BtoB days
- Take benefit of a 15 minutes session to present their project on BtoC days
